Highfield Ultralite 310

The Ultralite 310 is the step-up model for owners who want more from their tender - more range, more capacity, more confidence to push further along the coastline before turning back.
A simple, uncluttered layout means there's genuine space for passengers and gear rather than a boat that feels crowded the moment you add a cool box and a couple of dry bags. With room for five and a 400kg maximum load, it's built to do more than the odd short hop.
Step up from the smaller Ultralite models and the 310 trades a little of their easy solo-handling for real usable capacity - at 50kg boat-only weight, it's still manageable, just with the extra length and beam to match its bigger workload.
The hull is high tensile chromated and powder-coated aluminium, so it takes beach landings, rocky shorelines and clumsy mooring attempts without complaint. A welded PVC construction and full-length keel guard mean it's built to be used, not just admired on the davits.

PVC or Hypalon tubes?
The Ultralite 310 is available with either PVC or Hypalon tubes. In short: PVC offers excellent value and performs well for boats used seasonally and stored under cover, while Hypalon costs more upfront but offers superior UV resistance and longevity - worth it if the boat will live outdoors or see heavy use.
Read our full PVC vs Hypalon tubes guide for a proper breakdown of the differences, or get in touch and we'll help you pick the right fit for how you'll use the boat.

FAQs
How many people can the Ultralite 310 carry? The Ultralite 310 is rated for up to 5 people, with a maximum load of 400kg for crew and cargo combined. That figure doesn't include the engine, fuel or water, so worth keeping in mind when you're loading up.
What size engine do I need for the Ultralite 310? It's rated to a maximum of 15hp, with a maximum engine weight of 56kg. That's enough for confident ship-to-shore trips even with a full load aboard.
How much does the Ultralite 310 weigh? The boat alone weighs 50kg. It's heavier than the smaller Ultralite models, so a second pair of hands makes launching and recovery easier, though it's still well within reach for most owners.
Does the Ultralite 310 fold down for storage? The hull itself is rigid aluminium, so it won't fold flat, but the tubes can be deflated to reduce the overall footprint for storage or transport. It ships in a compact package sized 270 x 105 x 36.5cm.
How does the Ultralite 310 compare to the Ultralite 290? The 310 carries an extra person and 80kg more load than the 290, with a longer hull to match. If you regularly go out as a group of five or carry more gear, the 310 earns its extra size and weight - if it's usually two or three of you, the 290 stays easier to handle.
