  • 6X9 Twin DEC Top Mount Control Box: The main control unit, providing intuitive, one-hand operation of both throttle and shift functions electronically, which eliminates the friction associated with mechanical cables. It also often includes features like automatic engine RPM synchronization.
  • CL5 Instrument Kit: A modern, multi-function display that provides essential engine data and system monitoring.
  • Ignition Switch: This is typically a 6X6 Twin Ignition Switch or a 6X9 Electronic Key Switch (EKS), allowing for easy engine starting and stopping.
  • Main Harnesses: The necessary wiring for the system, commonly supplied in 8M and 10M lengths to ensure broad compatibility with different boat sizes and rigging requirements.

Compatibility

What features does the 6X9 control box offer?  The 6X9 twin binnacle control box 
 is known for its ergonomic design and advanced features for multi-engine applications.

  • one-hand control for both throttle and shift functions
  • Automatic RPM Synchronization: Features automatic synchronization of engine RPMs in multi-engine setups.
  • Integrated Controls: Includes push-button activation of Neutral Hold, Speed Control with Pattern Shift, Trim Assist, and Station Selection (for multiple helm stations).
  • Redundancy: The system features a built-in redundancy system for reliability
    How do I adjust the control box tension? If the throttle/shift control feels too loose or too stiff, the tension can be adjusted by the user.
    • A flathead screwdriver can be used on the back of the binnacle control box to adjust the tension screw.
    • Pop off the small cover on the back of the control box. Insert a flathead screwdriver into the screw and turn it a couple of turns to the right to tighten the tension or to the left to loosen it.
