- What type of engine is it? The Yamaha V MAX SHO 90hp is a 4-stroke, 16-valve, SOHC (Single Overhead Camshaft) in-line 4-cylinder marine engine with a displacement of 1.8 litres (1832 cm³).
- How does the V MAX SHO differ from the standard F90? The core internal components (powerhead) are largely the same, but the V MAX SHO version has an Electronic Control Module (ECM) with different software mapping and a reconfigured gear ratio (2.33:1 vs the F90's 2.15:1) to provide better hole shot and top speed.
