The easy2-MOB AIS +DSC distress transmitter combines two different alarm functions in one device with AIS and the DSC Distress Call, making it the perfect solution for "man overboard" emergencies.
Compared to its predecessor, the easy2-MOB DSC transmits both in the "closed loop" and in the "open loop".
In accordance with the new standard, the automatic release can be deactivated via a slider.

The easy2-MOB is an AIS emergency transmitter with DSC designed for sea rescue. With its slim shape, small size and minimal weight of120 grams, the easy2-MOB is perfect for use in an automatic lifejacket. With a battery performance of more than 24 hours at 0°C after activation and a radiated transmission power of 1 watt, the new AIS MOB easy2-MOB also has outstanding performance features that will make it stand out in the market once again. The rescue transmitter increases your chances of survival enormously and can make the difference in saving a life at sea.

AIS

After automatic triggering of the emergency transmitter by water contact, an AIS emergency telegram is sent out, which can be received by all AIS systems (Class A & Class B) within a radius of approx. 7 nautical miles. The AIS alert is repeated every minute, with updated position data and information on the course and speed over the ground of the casualty in a possible drift. The emergency transmitters are equipped with an integrated, precise and fast GPS of the latest generation. The "live" position of the person in distress becomes visible via the AIS on the PC or on a plotter. This means that any vessel in the vicinity (pleasure craft, commercial shipping, government vessels, SAR, etc.) that has AIS on board can initiate an immediate rescue operation.

DSC

In addition to sending a distress call in the "closed loop" to up to 8 vessels, the easy2-MOB now also sends in the "open loop" thanks to the DSC receiver.

If the easy2-MOB is automatically activated by water contact in the event of a "MAN OVER BOARD" situation, a DSC distress call is sent out within a few seconds. This initially takes place without GPS coordinates and is received as an alarm by up to 8 vessels in the closed loop. The term "closed loop" refers to up to 8 ships whose MMSI numbers have been programmed into the easy2-MOB in advance via Bluetooth and the Weatherdock app. As soon as a GPS fix is available, a second alarm is sent to these ships via DSC, this time with the GPS coordinates of the casualty. This transmission is then repeated at 5-minute intervals for the next 30 minutes. After this time has elapsed, the interval is extended to 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes there is also an "open loop" transmission, i.e. an "all ships call "to the GMDSS rescue chain
