SBS R2/600EL Boat Trailer FAQs
What is the maximum boat size this trailer can handle?
The R2/600EL is specifically designed for boats up to 4 metres (approx. 13ft) in length. When measuring, we use the "Bow Eye to Transom" (BET) distance to ensure the hull is perfectly supported by the roller system.
How much weight can I actually carry?
This is a 600kg Gross Capacity trailer. After accounting for the weight of the trailer itself, you have a Net Payload of 440kg for your boat, engine, fuel, and equipment.
Morgan Marine Tip: Always weigh your boat with a full tank of fuel and all gear included to ensure you stay within legal limits!
Is this trailer suitable for salt water use?
Absolutely. The chassis is hot-dip galvanised to EN ISO 1461 standards, providing superior corrosion resistance. Additionally, it features an Al-Ko axle with oversized sealed-for-life bearings, which are designed to significantly reduce the risk of water ingress compared to standard bearings.
What makes the "Easyloader" system different from standard rollers?
The Easyloader range features a cranked rear cross member with twin rocker carriages. This allows the rear rollers to pivot and "cradle" your hull as it comes out of the water, making it much easier to align the boat on the slipway, even in crosswinds or tide.
Does it come with a warranty?
Yes, and it’s one of the best in the industry. SBS offers a unique Limited Lifetime Structural Warranty on the chassis. As long as you maintain the trailer according to their guidelines, the main structure is protected against manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the product.
What lighting and electrical connections are included?
The trailer is supplied with a fully removable 12V rear light board featuring a standard 7-pin plug. It also includes integrated side marker lights for better visibility and safety when towing at night.
Is the winch post adjustable?
Yes, the snubber post and 450kg winch are fully adjustable. This allows us to move the winch forward or backward to achieve the correct nose weight on your tow ball, which is vital for stable and safe motorway towing.
