Raymarine Pack of RV-320 RealVision 3D Plastic Thru Hull Txds, Port <(>&<)> Starboard 20°, Direct connect to AXIOM
Raymarine Pack of RV-320 RealVision 3D Plastic Thru Hull Txds, Port <(>&<)> Starboard 20°, Direct connect to AXIOM are the ultimate sonar solution for owners of Axiom displays looking to unlock the full potential of 3D underwater imaging.
Specifically designed for boats with a deadrise angle between 15° and 25°, this split-pair system provides a seamless 180° view of the underwater world. By using a dedicated port and starboard transducer, the RV-320 system overcomes the challenges of deep keels or other hull obstructions that typically block standard transducers.
The low-profile, "near-flush" design is engineered for performance, sliding through the water with minimal drag—perfect for both inboard and outboard vessels, as well as those on trailers. With built-in stabilization technology, your sonar remains rock-steady even in choppy British coastal waters, ensuring you never lose sight of your target
Raymarine Pack of RV-320 RealVision 3D Plastic Thru Hull Txds, Port <(>&<)> Starboard 20°, Direct connect to AXIOM Key Features
- Total RealVision 3D™ Clarity: Combines four sonar channels into one system: High Frequency CHIRP, DownVision™, SideVision™, and RealVision 3D™.
- Superior 180° Coverage: The split-pair design (Port and Starboard) ensures a wide-angle view that is not obscured by your boat's keel or running gear.
- Integrated AHRS Stabilization: Features a built-in Attitude and Heading Reference System that compensates for vessel motion, providing stable, crystal-clear imagery in swells and waves.
- Optimised for 20° Deadrise: Specifically engineered with an internal 20° offset to accommodate hull angles from 15° to 25°, eliminating the need for bulky fairing blocks.
- Direct Axiom Connectivity: Designed for plug-and-play use with Raymarine Axiom, Axiom+, and Axiom Pro multifunction displays.
- Robust Plastic Construction: Suitable for fibreglass, aluminium, and steel hulls.
- Rapid Temp Sensing: Includes a fast-response water temperature sensor for accurate, real-time data.

Raymarine Pack of RV-320 RealVision 3D Plastic Thru Hull Txds, Port <(>&<)> Starboard 20°, Direct connect to AXIOM FAQs
Why do I need a ‘pair’ of transducers instead of just one?
Because the RV-320 uses RealVision 3D technology (which looks 180° port-to-starboard), a single thru-hull transducer would have its "view" blocked by your boat’s keel or hull. By using a split-pair—one on the port side and one on the starboard—the system "sees" around the hull to provide a seamless, unobstructed 3D image of the seabed.
How do I know if the RV-320 is the right model for my boat’s deadrise?
The RV-320 is specifically designed for hulls with a deadrise angle between 15° and 25°. The "20" in the name refers to the 20° internal offset of the ceramic elements, which compensates for the slope of your hull.
Morgan Marine Tip: If your deadrise is flatter (between 5° and 15°), you should look at the RV-312 model instead.
Which Raymarine displays are compatible with this pack?
The RV-320 is designed to plug directly into the 25-pin sonar port of Raymarine Axiom, Axiom+, and Axiom Pro RVX multifunction displays. Please note it is not compatible with 'Axiom DV' or 'Axiom Pro S' models, which do not have built-in RealVision 3D sonar circuitry.
Is a plastic transducer safe for my hull material?
These plastic thru-hull housings are ideal for Fibreglass (GRP), Steel, or Aluminium hulls.
Important Note: If you have a wooden hull, we generally recommend stepping up to the Bronze (RV-220) version, as wood can expand and contract, which may stress plastic fittings over time.
What is the maximum depth I can expect?
The RV-320 is a multi-channel powerhouse. You can expect:
-
- RealVision 3D: Up to 90m (300ft)
- SideVision: Up to 90m (300ft) port and starboard
- DownVision: Up to 180m (600ft)
- High CHIRP Sonar: Up to 275m (900ft)
Does the system account for the boat’s movement in rough water?
Yes! The RV-320 has a built-in AHRS (Attitude and Heading Reference System). This internal sensor detects the pitch, roll, and heave of your boat and automatically stabilises the sonar imagery. This means even in choppy UK waters, your 3D map remains clear and steady on the screen.
Will these transducers cause drag or affect my boat on a trailer?
No. These are "near-flush" low-profile transducers. They are designed to slip through the water with minimal drag or cavitation, making them an excellent choice for high-speed powerboats. Because they don't require bulky fairing blocks, they are also perfectly safe for use on trailered boats.
Can I install these myself?
While the "direct connect" nature of the cables makes the electronics simple, thru-hull installation involves drilling into your hull and ensuring a watertight seal. Raymarine (and we at Morgan Marine) strongly recommend a professional installation to ensure your warranty remains valid and your vessel stays safe.
