Raymarine Pack of RV-212 RealVision 3D Bronze Thru Hull Txds
Raymarine Pack of RV-212 RealVision 3D Bronze Thru Hull Txds are the definitive sonar solution for boat owners looking to unlock the full potential of their Axiom multifunction displays, providing a breath-taking 3D view of the world beneath your hull.
Designed specifically for inboard or outboard powerboats with a hull deadrise angle between 6° and 18°, the RV-212 system ensures you see every detail with life-like clarity. By using a split-pair configuration—one transducer for port and one for starboard—this pack provides a complete 180° of underwater coverage. This clever design overcomes the common issue of "shadowing" caused by deep keels or other hull protrusions, ensuring no fish or structure goes unnoticed.
The rugged cast-bronze housings are built for durability and are perfectly suited for both fibreglass and wooden hulls. Thanks to the internal 12° offset, these transducers sit nearly flush with the hull, minimising drag and cavitation without the need for cumbersome fairing blocks.
Raymarine Pack of RV-212 RealVision 3D Bronze Thru Hull Txds Key Features
- All-in-One Sonar Technology: Combines four powerful sonar channels into one system: RealVision 3D™, CHIRP DownVision™, CHIRP SideVision™, and High-Frequency CHIRP fish targeting.
- Gyro-Stabilised Imagery: Features a built-in Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) that compensates for vessel motion. Whether you’re dealing with waves, swells, or tight manoeuvres, your 3D image remains stable and crystal clear.
- 180-Degree Visibility: The port and starboard split-pair ensures total coverage to the sides and directly beneath the boat, reaching up to 300ft (91m) left and right.
- Fast-Response Temperature Sensor: Includes a built-in sensor for quick and accurate water temperature readings, essential for finding those productive fishing spots.
- Plug-and-Play for Axiom: Designed for direct connection to any Raymarine Axiom RealVision-capable MFD. No external "black box" sonar module is required.
- Low-Profile Installation: The bronze thru-hull design is sleek and efficient, making it an excellent choice for trailered boats and high-performance hulls alike.

Raymarine Pack of RV-212 RealVision 3D Bronze Thru Hull Txds FAQs
Why do I need a "Port and Starboard" pair instead of a single transducer?
Great question. Because these are "Thru-Hull" transducers, they sit flush against the bottom of your boat. If your hull has a significant V-shape (deadrise), a single transducer would point off to one side. By using a pair—one on the port side and one on the starboard—the system combines the data to give you a full 180° view beneath the boat without the hull itself getting in the way (shadowing).
Is the 12° version right for my boat?
The RV-212 is specifically designed for boats with a deadrise angle between 6° and 18°.
-
- If your hull is flatter (0° to 6°), you would need the RV-200.
- If your hull is steeper (14° to 26°), you would need the RV-220.
Morgan Marine Tip: If you aren't sure of your deadrise, give us a ring or use a digital inclinometer app on your phone while the boat is on the trailer or in the cradle!
Why should I choose Bronze over Plastic or Stainless Steel?
Bronze is the gold standard for fibreglass or wooden hulls. It is incredibly durable and handles the stresses of a thru-hull fitting better than plastic.
Note: If you have an aluminium hull, do not use bronze, as it will cause galvanic corrosion. You’ll need a stainless steel option instead.
Will this connect directly to my Raymarine Axiom?
Yes, this pack is designed for "Direct Connect." It plugs straight into the 25-pin RealVision 3D port on the back of any Axiom, Axiom+, or Axiom Pro multifunction display. There’s no need for an external "black box" sonar module, which keeps your installation neat and tidy.
Can I use this for deep-sea fishing?
RealVision 3D is spectacular for identifying structure and locating fish in crystal clear detail in shallower to mid-depths. While the system can reach deeper, it is most effective at depths up to about 90 metres (300 feet). If you are regularly hunting in the deep trenches of the Atlantic, we can chat about adding a 1kW CHIRP transducer to your setup as well.
Does it provide temperature data?
It certainly does. Each transducer has a fast-response water temperature sensor built-in, so you’ll see those thermal changes on your Axiom screen in real-time.
