How easy is it to read the display in direct sunlight?

The i70s is class-leading in this department. It uses an optically bonded display, which eliminates internal condensation and significantly improves contrast. With a brightness of 1,200 candelas and a 160-degree viewing angle, you can clearly see your data from the helm or the side deck, even in the brightest UK summer sun.

Can I customise what data I see on the screen?

Absolutely. The "s" in i70s stands for versatility. Using Raymarine’s intuitive LightHouse interface, you can set up multiple "favourite" pages. You can choose from traditional analogue dials, large digital readouts for depth or speed, or graphical displays for wind shifts and historical depth trends.

I already have an AIS receiver. Can the i70s display AIS targets?

Yes, it can. When connected to your NMEA 2000 or SeaTalkng network, the i70s acts as a brilliant AIS repeater. It will show you the closest 25 AIS-equipped vessels and allow you to select individual targets to see their heading, speed, and closest point of approach (CPA).

Is this system compatible with my older Raymarine gear?

The i70s is designed for SeaTalkng (Raymarine’s version of NMEA 2000), but it is backwards compatible. If you have older SeaTalk1 instruments, you can easily integrate them using a SeaTalk to SeaTalkng converter kit. If you're unsure about your specific setup, give our workshop team a call and we can advise on the right adaptors.

Do I need to cut a large hole in my dashboard to fit the display?

The i70s is designed for a simple surface mount. It features a sleek "Glass Bridge" aesthetic that matches the latest Raymarine Axiom chartplotters. We provide a mounting template and both black and gunmetal bezels in the box, so you can match the look to your existing helm.

What happens if I want to add more displays later?

That is the beauty of the SeaTalkng backbone included in this pack. Because it is a networked system, you can simply "daisy-chain" additional i70s displays, p70s autopilot controllers, or Axiom MFDs into the network at any time.

Does the iTC-5 mean I don't need separate "pods" for each sensor?

Correct. In the past, you needed a separate pod for wind, another for depth, etc. The iTC-5 included in this pack acts as a central hub. You wire your wind and DST800 transducers directly into the iTC-5, and it sends all that data down a single cable to your display, significantly simplifying your wiring.
