Raymarine i70s Smart Wind System Pack incl. i70s, RSW Smart Wind, DST810, 5-way, 3m backbone, power, T-piece & 2 terminators
Raymarine i70s Smart Wind System Pack incl. i70s, RSW Smart Wind, DST810, 5-way, 3m backbone, power, T-piece & 2 terminators is the definitive all-in-one solution.
This comprehensive kit replaces guesswork with professional-grade accuracy. By combining the sleek, customisable i70s display with the cutting-edge RSW Smart Wind transducer and the DST810 Smart multisensor, you get a fully integrated network that monitors your environment with staggering precision.
At the heart of this pack is the RSW Smart Wind Transducer. This isn't your standard wind vane; it features an integrated 3D motion sensor (AHRS) that accounts for the pitch and roll of your vessel. This means the true wind data you see is automatically compensated for the movement of the boat, the bend of the mast, and even the airflow "up-wash" against your sails.
Coupled with the DST810 Smart Transducer, you gain industry-leading speed-through-water data. With its Gen2 paddlewheel, it tracks speed from as low as 0.3 knots—perfect for those light-air days. Plus, with built-in Bluetooth, you can calibrate your depth and speed directly from your smartphone using the Airmar CAST™ app.
The i70s Multifunction Display brings it all together on a brilliant, optically bonded 4.1" screen that remains crystal clear even in direct sunlight or the driving rain of a British winter.
Raymarine i70s Smart Wind System Pack incl. i70s, RSW Smart Wind, DST810, 5-way, 3m backbone, power, T-piece & 2 terminators Key Features
- Professional Accuracy, Simple Install: Raymarine’s Smart Wind technology delivers expert-level data without the need for expensive "black-box" processors. It is "Install & Go," meaning you get high-end performance straight out of the box.
- 3D Motion Compensation: The RSW transducer’s internal gyros compensate for mast flick and vessel motion, providing incredibly stable and trusted wind direction and speed.
- Gen2 Speed Performance: The DST810 provides ultra-responsive speed updates at 5.7Hz (5 times per second), ensuring your tridata is smooth and instantaneous.
- Heel & Trim Data: The DST810 doesn't just measure depth and speed; it also provides heel and trim information, allowing for advanced speed calibration for different sailing angles.
- Superior Visibility: The i70s display features a 160° viewing angle and massive 43mm digits in full-screen mode, making it readable from anywhere in the cockpit.
-
All-Weather Reliability: The display is optically bonded to eliminate fogging and enhance contrast. Rated IPX6 and IPX7, it’s built to withstand the harshest marine environments.
- AIS Repeater Capability: When connected to an AIS receiver, the i70s can display nearby targets, helping you navigate busy shipping lanes with ease.
- Seamless Integration: Fully compatible with SeaTalkng and NMEA 2000 networks, making it easy to expand your system or integrate with existing Raymarine Axiom chartplotters.

Raymarine i70s Smart Wind System Pack incl. i70s, RSW Smart Wind, DST810, 5-way, 3m backbone, power, T-piece & 2 terminators FAQs
How does the "Smart Wind" technology differ from standard wind sensors?
Standard wind sensors can be affected by the boat’s motion. The RSW Smart Wind transducer features an integrated 3D motion sensor (AHRS) that accounts for the boat’s pitch and roll. It also compensates for "upwash" (the wind hitting your sails and curving upwards) and mast twist. This means you get incredibly stable and accurate True Wind data without needing a separate, expensive processor.
What makes the DST810 "Smart" compared to older transducers?
The DST810 is a game-changer for calibration. It features Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to calibrate it directly from your smartphone using the Airmar CAST™ app. You can perform advanced, heel-compensated speed calibrations to ensure your speed-through-water is pinpoint accurate, even when the boat is heeled over. It also includes a built-in attitude sensor to measure your boat’s heel and trim.
Is the i70s display easy to read in direct sunlight?
Absolutely. The i70s uses optically bonded display technology. This process eliminates the air gap between the glass and the LCD, which prevents fogging and significantly improves contrast and viewing angles. Even in the brightest midday sun on the Essex coast, you’ll find the 4.1-inch screen clear and sharp.
Can I see AIS targets on the i70s display?
Yes, you can! When connected to an AIS receiver on your NMEA 2000 / SeaTalkng network, the i70s can act as an AIS Repeater. It allows you to see the closest 25 AIS-equipped vessels and select them to view their specific vessel information—a brilliant safety feature for navigating busy shipping lanes.
Will this system work with my existing Raymarine gear?
The i70s is designed for seamless integration. It uses SeaTalkng networking but is also fully compatible with NMEA 2000 (using a simple adaptor cable). If you have older SeaTalk1 equipment, you can still integrate it using a SeaTalk to SeaTalkng converter kit. It’s a very flexible hub for any Raymarine setup.
Is it difficult to install?
While it is a professional-grade system, it follows a "Plug and Play" philosophy. The SeaTalkng backbone system uses colour-coded connectors that make networking straightforward. The DST810 fits a standard 2-inch (51mm) hole. However, if you aren't comfortable with through-hull fittings or mast-top work, our engineering team here at the Morgan Marine boatyard is always available to help with professional installation and commissioning.
How much power does the system consume?
One of the best things about the i70s system is its efficiency. The display typically consumes just 1.7 Watts, and the RSW Smart Wind sensor uses less than 100mW. This makes it an excellent choice for sailing yachts where managing battery capacity is a priority.
Can I customise what I see on the screen?
Yes, the i70s is highly customisable. You can choose between traditional analogue-style dials, large digital readouts, or graphical displays. You can also set up "favourite" pages to toggle quickly between the data you need for racing, cruising, or anchoring.
What happens if I need to clean the speed transducer?
The DST810 features a retractable housing with a water valve. This allows you to pull the transducer insert out of the hull while the boat is in the water (with only a minimal splash) to clean the paddlewheel of any fouling, then pop it back in easily.
