Raymarine Cyclone Pro 110 Watts 3ft Open Array Radar with 15m Cables FAQs

  • Which Raymarine displays are compatible with the Cyclone Pro radar? The
Raymarine Cyclone Pro radars  are designed to integrate seamlessly with Raymarine Axiom, Axiom+, Axiom Pro, and Axiom XL multifunction displays (MFDs). They are not compatible with older a-Series MFDs.
  • Can I use my existing radar cables? In most cases, installing a new radar scanner requires changing the interconnect cable. Raymarine may offer adapters for specific older models (e.g., Digital or HD Digital radar scanners), but you should consult with technical support or an installer for specific options.
  • What are the power requirements? The system operates using a nominal 12V dc or 24V dc power source (via the VCM100 module included in the package). The minimum voltage is 10.2V dc, and the maximum is 31.2V dc.
  • What is the maximum range of the radar? The Cyclone Pro 110W radar has a maximum theoretical range of 96 nautical miles (nm). Actual detection range depends on factors like the mounting height and target height.
  • What is the equivalent magnetron power? The 110-watt solid-state power output is equivalent to a 12 kW magnetron radar.
  • What is "Bird Mode" and "RangeFusion"?
    • Bird Mode intelligently optimizes gain and tune settings to help locate distant sea birds, which is useful for finding fish.
    • RangeFusion technology combines short and long pulse radar images into a single, high-clarity display, providing excellent short-range and long-range situational awareness simultaneously.
  • How fast is the radar imaging? The radar has a high-speed rotational capability, up to 60 RPM, delivering real-time, 360-degree awareness
