Raymarine B265LH D/T Through Hull Low-High Transducer
Raymarine B265LH D/T Through Hull Low-High Transducer are a powerhouse of performance, designed to deliver exceptional clarity and target separation across the entire water column.
Constructed from robust bronze and featuring eight internal ceramics, this 1kW CHIRP transducer is the ultimate choice for those venturing into both coastal and deep-water environments. Whether you are tracking baitfish in the shallows or hunting for big game at extreme depths, the B265LH provides the high-fidelity data you need to fish with total confidence.
Deep-Water Dominance & Shallow Resolution
The "LH" configuration combines a Low-frequency array for deep-water penetration with a High-frequency array for crisp, high-resolution detail in shallower depths.
- Low Frequency (42-65 kHz): Punches through the water column to detect bottom structure and fish at depths of up to 3,000 metres (10,000 feet).
- High Frequency (130-210 kHz): Focuses on the upper water column with a narrower beam, providing incredible target separation to distinguish individual fish from structure or closely packed schools.
Raymarine B265LH D/T Through Hull Low-High Transducer Key Features
- Dual-Channel CHIRP: Operates across a wide spectrum of frequencies (up to 103kHz of total CHIRP range) to provide far greater detail than traditional single-frequency transducers.
- Depth & Temperature: Equipped with a fast-response water temperature sensor and highly accurate depth sounding.
- High-Performance Fairing Block: Includes a custom-fit fairing to ensure a streamlined flow of water across the transducer face, maintaining clear sonar readings even at speeds exceeding 30 knots.
- 1kW Professional Power: A high-output 1,000W RMS rating ensures excellent signal return even in challenging sea conditions.
- Built for Durability: The bronze housing is designed for permanent through-hull installation on fibreglass or wooden hulls.
- Plug-and-Play Connectivity: Comes with an 11-pin connector for direct integration with Raymarine’s premium sonar modules and displays.
-
Compatibility
The B265LH is designed to mate directly with Raymarine’s leading sonar technology, including:- Axiom Pro RVX and Axiom 2 Pro RVM Chartplotters
- CP470 and CP570 Professional CHIRP Sonar Modules
- RVX-1000 and RVM-1600 Remote Sonar Modules
Technical Specifications
-
- Material: Bronze
- Installation: Through-hull (0° to 20° deadrise with included fairing)
- Beam Width: 25°/16° (Low) and 10°/6° (High)
- Cable Length: 10m (33ft)

Morgan Marine Advice: This transducer is a significant upgrade for any offshore vessel. Because it requires a through-hull fitting and the use of a fairing block, we recommend professional installation to ensure optimum performance at speed.
Raymarine B265LH D/T Through Hull Low-High Transducer FAQs
What exactly does ‘LH’ stand for, and why does it matter?
‘LH’ stands for Low and High frequency bands. This transducer is a dual-band CHIRP unit, meaning it covers two distinct frequency ranges:
-
- Low (42–65 kHz): Designed for deep-water performance, penetrating the water column down to depths of 3,000ft (approx. 914m). It has a wider beam (16° to 25°) to find fish over a larger area.
- High (130–210 kHz): Best for shallower water and high-speed tracking. It uses a narrower beam (6° to 10°) to provide incredible target separation, allowing you to distinguish between baitfish and prized game fish near structures.
Will this transducer work with my existing Raymarine display?
The B265LH is fitted with Raymarine’s 11-pin CHIRP connector. It is designed to plug directly into:
-
- Axiom Pro RVX and Axiom 2 Pro RVM models.
- CP470 and CP570 sonar modules.
- RVX-1000 and RVM-1600 modules. If you are running an older system or a different Axiom variant, please get in touch with our team at Morgan Marine so we can check compatibility or recommend the correct adapter cable.
What hull material is this transducer suitable for?
As this is a bronze through-hull housing, it is specifically designed for fiberglass (GRP) or wood hulls.
Important: You must not install a bronze transducer in a metal (aluminium or steel) hull, as this will cause galvanic corrosion and could damage your boat. For metal hulls, you would require a stainless steel equivalent.
I see a large block in the photos; what is the ‘High-Performance Fairing’?
The B265LH comes with a custom-fit High-Performance Fairing block. This serves two vital purposes:
-
- Deadrise Compensation: It allows the transducer to be mounted vertically on hulls with a deadrise angle of up to 20°, ensuring the sonar beam points straight down.
- Clean Water: It streamlines the water flow over the transducer face, reducing turbulence and air bubbles. This allows your fishfinder to maintain a clear bottom lock even at speeds exceeding 30 knots.
How does this compare to the B265LM (Low-Medium) version?
The choice depends on where you fish. The LH (Low-High) version we stock here is the favourite for anglers who want the best of both worlds: deep-water capability (Low) and pin-sharp resolution for structure and target separation (High). The Medium (LM) version offers a wider beam in the mid-range, which is better for covering more area in mid-depths, but you sacrifice some of that "fine-detail" resolution found in the High band.
Can I install this myself?
While a handy boat owner can install a through-hull transducer, it involves drilling a 30mm (approx. 1-3/16") hole through your hull and precisely cutting the fairing block to match your boat's deadrise. Because this is a high-performance 1kW unit, precision is key. If you aren't comfortable with "hull surgery," we recommend professional installation to ensure a watertight seal and optimal sonar performance.
Does it record water temperature?
Yes. The B265LH features a built-in, fast-response water temperature sensor, providing highly accurate readings to your Raymarine display—essential for finding those "temperature breaks" where fish love to hide.
How long is the supplied cable?
The transducer comes with a 10-metre (33ft) cable. For most vessels over 8 metres (where this transducer is typically recommended), this is plenty to reach your sonar module or MFD. If your run is longer, Raymarine extension cables are available.
