Raymarine B175M Bronze Low Profile 1000W D/T Through Hull Transducer 0° Angle
Raymarine B175M Bronze Low Profile 1000W D/T Through Hull Transducer 0° Angle are a low-profile, CHIRP-ready solution is designed for serious offshore anglers and boaters who demand precision detail and deep-water performance without the drag of a traditional fairing block.
The B175M is the "all-rounder" of the B175 series, specifically engineered to provide the perfect balance between deep-water penetration and high-resolution target separation. Operating in the Medium Frequency band (85–135 kHz), this transducer excels at revealing fish at mid-depths and providing ultra-clear bottom definition.
This 0° tilted element model is designed for hulls with a deadrise of 0° to 7°. Because the ceramic element is fixed at a 0° angle inside the housing, the sonar beam is aimed straight down, ensuring maximum echo returns for flat-bottomed vessels or mounting on a level keel. Its low-profile design sits nearly flush to the hull, making it an ideal choice for high-speed powerboats and centre consoles where drag and turbulence must be minimised.
Raymarine B175M Bronze Low Profile 1000W D/T Through Hull Transducer 0° Angle Key Features
- 1kW High Power: With 1000 Watts of power, the B175M provides significantly better deep-water performance and clearer targets than standard 600W transducers.
- Medium Frequency CHIRP: Operates across the 85 to 135 kHz frequency range, delivering crisp target resolution and a maximum depth range of up to 457m (1,500ft).
- Low-Profile Bronze Housing: The durable bronze thru-hull fitting is designed for stepped, planing, or displacement hulls. Its low-profile shape ensures minimal drag and won’t affect your boat’s handling or speed.
- 0° Tilted Element: Specifically engineered for hulls with a deadrise between 0° and 7°. The internal ceramic is fixed to ensure the beam points vertically for accurate depth and fish readings.
- Exceptional Detail: Ideal for identifying individual game fish and baitfish schools, as well as providing intricate detail of bottom structures.
- Integrated Sensors: Provides both highly accurate Sonar (depth) and fast-response Water Temperature data to your Raymarine display.
- CHIRP Technology: By sweeping across a range of frequencies, CHIRP technology provides much greater sensitivity and better signal-to-noise ratios than traditional single-frequency sonar.

Raymarine B175M Bronze Low Profile 1000W D/T Through Hull Transducer 0° Angle FAQs
What makes the B175M a 'Medium' CHIRP transducer, and why does it matter?
The ‘M’ stands for Medium frequency, operating in the 85kHz to 135kHz range. This is often considered the "sweet spot" for UK coastal and offshore fishing. It provides a perfect balance between the deep-water reach of low-frequency and the high-definition detail of high-frequency. It’s designed to reveal fish targets at mid-depths (up to 457m / 1,500ft) with excellent target separation.
My boat has a flat bottom—is the 0° version the correct choice?
Yes. This specific model is a 0° Tilted Element transducer. It is designed for hulls with a deadrise angle of 0° to 7°. Because the ceramic element is fixed at 0° inside the housing, it ensures the sonar beam is pointed straight down to the seabed on flatter hulls, providing the most accurate echo returns.
If your hull has a steeper deadrise (8° to 24°), please contact us about the 12° or 20° tilted versions.
Can I install this bronze transducer on any hull material?
The bronze housing is specifically designed for fibreglass (GRP) or wooden hulls.
Important: Do not install a bronze transducer in an aluminium or steel hull, as this will cause galvanic corrosion which can damage your hull. For metal boats, you would require the stainless steel equivalent (SS175M).
What does 'Low Profile' mean for my boat’s performance?
Unlike traditional "block" transducers that require a large fairing block, the B175M sits almost flush against the hull. This "low profile" design significantly reduces drag, making it ideal for high-speed powerboats and centre consoles. It also makes the boat easier to load onto a trailer without risking damage to the transducer.
Does this transducer provide water temperature as well as depth?
Yes, the B175M is a D/T (Depth and Temperature) unit. It features a fast-response internal thermistor that provides highly accurate sea surface temperature readings to your Raymarine display.
I have a Raymarine Axiom display; do I need an adapter cable?
The B175M is typically supplied with a cable designed for the CP450C / CP470 / CP570 sonar modules. To connect it directly to an Axiom Pro or Axiom 2 Pro RVM, you will likely require the A80328 single transducer adapter cable. If you’re unsure about your specific display’s compatibility, just give the Morgan Marine team a call and we can confirm the exact cable you need.
Can I use this as part of a dual-transducer setup?
Absolutely. Many of our customers pair the B175M with a B175H (High) or B175L (Low) to get full-spectrum coverage. To do this, you would use a Y-cable (part number A102146) to combine the two transducers into a single sonar module port.
What is the beamwidth of this transducer?
The B175M features a beamwidth that ranges from 24° to 16°. This provides a wide enough beam to search for baitfish and structures, while remaining narrow enough to give you a clear, detailed look at what is directly beneath the boat.
Why should I choose the 1kW version over a 600W transducer?
The 1000W (1kW) power rating means this transducer "punches" through the water column with much more energy than a standard 600W unit. This results in much clearer bottom tracking at higher speeds and the ability to "see" fish in deeper water or through difficult thermoclines where lower-powered units might struggle.
