Raymarine 45STV – 45cm Satellite TV Antenna System with Auto Skew for Europe

Raymarine 45STV – 45cm Satellite TV Antenna System with Auto Skew for Europe are a high-performance, fully automated marine satellite TV system designed for vessels between 10.7 and 15.2 meters (35 to 50 feet). It is designed to provide a stable, high-definition (HD) television signal in tough marine conditions across Europe.

Raymarine 45STV – 45cm Satellite TV Antenna System with Auto Skew for Europe Key Features

  • Automatic Tracking and Acquisition: The system automatically searches for, identifies, and locks onto satellite signals quickly using Raymarine's unique Wide Range Search (WRS) algorithm.
  • Dynamic Beam Tilting (DBT): This technology continuously measures and compensates for the vessel's heading, pitch, and roll, ensuring the antenna stays locked onto the satellite for an uninterrupted, clear picture in varying sea conditions.
  • Auto Skew Control: The European model includes an automatic skew angle control system (-90°~ +90°) for linear horizontal/vertical polarization, which optimizes reception of different satellite signals.
  • Built-in GPS: An integrated GPS unit within the antenna facilitates faster initial signal acquisition and improved accuracy.
  • HD & DVB Compatible: It is compatible with DVB (Digital Video Broadcast) and High Definition (HD) signals from the Ku-band, allowing reception of numerous digital channels.
  • Multiple Receiver Support: The system features a Quad LNB design, allowing connection of up to four television receivers, so different channels can be tuned in on different televisions simultaneously.
  • Antenna Control Unit (ACU): The system includes a dedicated control unit that provides power, displays antenna status, offers diagnostic indicators, enables manual satellite selection, and can connect to a PC or smartphone (via built-in Wi-Fi and the Aptus mobile app) for upgrades and configuration.

Raymarine 45STV – 45cm Satellite TV Antenna System with Auto Skew for Europe FAQs

  • How do I set up the system for Europe? After installation, you need to set the region in the ACU menu. Navigate to "LOAD REGION INFO", select "EUROPE", then select your specific country (e.g., "GERMANY") to ensure the system is configured for the correct local satellites and polarization.
  • What if I experience signal loss or the antenna keeps searching?
    • First, check all cable connections between the antenna and the ACU for security and signs of damage or corrosion.
    • Ensure the antenna has a clear, all-around view of the horizon with no obstacles within 15 degrees above it.
    • If the issue persists, the ACU may require a software update via Aptus PC or Aptus Mobil software, or the LNB might be defective.
  • Where should I install the antenna on my vessel?
    • The antenna should be installed on a rigid platform, parallel to the sea surface.
    • To minimize movement, it is recommended to install it towards the center of the vessel, away from the corners where motion is greatest.
    • Do not install the antenna near the radar, as interference can occur; maintain a distance of at least 6m (15ft) from high-power radars
