• What type of oil should I use? Mercury recommends using 
  Mercury Four Stroke Oil 10W-30 or 25W-40.
• What is the required fuel? Unleaded regular fuel with a minimum of 90 RON (Research Octane Number) is recommended.
• What is the maintenance schedule?  Routine maintenance, including changing the engine oil, oil filter, and gearcase lubricant, is recommended every 100 hours of use or once yearly, whichever comes first. The valve train is designed to be maintenance-free for the life of the engine, requiring no regular adjustments.
• Can it be used in saltwater? Yes, the engine is built with saltwater-safe components and corrosion-preventive technologies to withstand demanding marine environments.
