• Redesigned Drain Valve: The new models feature a lift type drain valve which cannot be accidentally dislodged by the customer during cruising. It also removes the chance of incorrect fitment which was possible with the current valve.
• Internal Oar Storage: To make sitting on the tubes more comfortable for the user and to reduce damage to the surface of the tubes, the oars are now stored on ties inside the boat.
• Loop Handles: The currently fitted hogging and rope has been removed and replaced with loop handles. This improves the look of the boats and removes the risk of damage by mishandling when incorrectly using the safety rope to lift the boat.
• New Bow Roller: To enhance the look and to reduce rope damage to the bow tube a bow roller has been fitted to all the new models
  New Side Trim Design: The side trim on all models has been updated and refreshed giving a quality, modern look

What makes the "AE" model different from other Honwaves?

The "AE" stands for Aluminium floor with Air keel. Unlike the "IE" (Air V-Floor) models, the T40-AE features interlocking aluminium floor slats. This provides a rock-solid, flat standing surface—perfect for fishing, diving, or carrying heavy gear. The inflatable air keel sits underneath these slats to give the hull a "V" shape, ensuring the boat tracks straight and cuts through the chop smoothly.

How many people can the T40-AE safely carry?

It is remarkably spacious for a 4-metre boat. It is officially rated for a capacity of 7 adults. With a massive maximum load capacity of 1,050kg, there is plenty of room for the whole family, your fuel tank, and a weekend’s worth of supplies.

Is the aluminium floor difficult to assemble?

Not at all! Honda has designed this with the user in mind. The aluminium floor slats are number-coded, so you know exactly which order they slot together.

Morgan Marine Pro Tip: For the easiest assembly, ensure the tubes are only partially inflated while you slot the floor and side stringers into place. Once the floor is locked in, finish inflating the tubes to the correct pressure to "tension" the whole structure.

What is the maximum engine size I can fit?

The T40-AE is designed to handle up to a 20hp short-shaft outboard. Because it features a reinforced GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) transom, it handles the weight and torque of a modern 4-stroke engine with ease.

How portable is it? Can I fit it in my car?

Despite its 4-metre length, the T40-AE is a truly portable craft. It packs down into two carry bags (included): one for the boat skin and one for the floor sections.
