Highfield Classic 360 PVC

Highfield Classic 360 PVC are a rigid inflatable boat (RIB) or dinghy tender, known for its durable aluminium hull and practical design that combines stability with lightweight performance. It is suitable for a variety of uses, including serving as a yacht tender, a recreational boat for coastal exploring, or general family use

Highfield Classic 360 PVC Key Features

  • Durable Construction: The boat features high-tensile, chromated, and powder-coated 2.5mm thick marine-grade aluminium hull, which provides strength and is resistant to impacts and grounding. The tubes are made of durable Valmex PVC coated fabric with welded seams.
  • Design: It has a double-deck hull designed to keep occupants' feet dry. The design achieves significant weight savings compared to equivalent fiberglass RIBs, allowing for impressive performance with smaller engines.
  • Handling & Stability: Reviewers and sellers note that it offers smooth, stable handling and a secure position in the water, even in choppy conditions.
  • Practicality: The boat includes a bow locker (which fits a 24L fuel tank), integrated transom supports, lifting points, towing eyes, and a full-length keel guard for beach-hopping.
  • Capacity: It is rated for a maximum of 6 people and can handle a maximum load of 561 kg (1237 lbs).

Highfield Classic 360 PVC FAQs

PVC Tube Maintenance and Durability
  • Lifespan: PVC inflatable boats can last between 2-10 years, depending on usage, care, and UV exposure. The Highfield Classic 360 uses welded seams for durability, which generally outlast those made with adhesives.
  • Cleaning: Use warm, soapy water for general cleaning. For tougher stains like tar, a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser or a dedicated inflatable boat cleaner is recommended.
  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use solvents, petrol, or aggressive chemical compounds on PVC models, as this can damage the fabric.
  • UV Resistance: While PVC is durable, it is less resistant to UV rays than Hypalon material, so proper storage or a boat cover when not in use is recommended to maximize lifespan.
  • Repair: The boat comes with a repair kit including fabric patches, glue, sandpaper, and a valve spanner.
Operation and Safety
  • Engine Power: Do not exceed the maximum recommended power ofdata-complete="true" class="Yjhzub">30 HP.
  • Safety Gear: Always wear a life jacket (personal flotation device) and use the kill switch lanyard while operating the boat.
  • Loading: Distribute loads appropriately and never exceed the maximum load capacity of 1,237 lbs (561 kg), including people, motor, and fuel.
  • Towing/Lifting: The boat is equipped with designated lifting points and towing eyes for safe handling
