Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 2 10" Chart plotters 102sv without Transducer is a premium choice for serious anglers and coastal explorers who want professional-grade technology without the clutter of unwanted accessories.
Since this unit is supplied without a transducer, it is the perfect solution for those upgrading their existing helm while keeping their current Garmin transducers, or for those who wish to custom-build their setup with specific LiveScope or UHD scanning options.
Take your fishing and navigation to the next level with the ECHOMAP Ultra 2 series. Featuring a bright, sunlight-readable 10-inch touchscreen with keyed assist, this unit combines the intuitive feel of a modern tablet with the tactile reliability of physical buttons—essential when you're out in the chop with wet hands.
Whether you are navigating the intricate coastline or hunting for specific structures, the Ultra 2 delivers incredible clarity through its high-resolution IPS display. With advanced wireless networking, multi-band GPS, and support for the industry-leading LiveScope™ sonar, this is the hub your boat deserves.

Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 2 10" Chart plotters 102sv without Transducer FAQs
What does "without Transducer" actually mean?
This version of the 102sv is the display unit only. It is the perfect choice if you are upgrading an existing system and already have a compatible Garmin transducer installed, or if you want to custom-build your setup by choosing a specific transducer—such as a thru-hull or a dedicated LiveScope™ system—separately.
What are the main upgrades in the Ultra 2 compared to the original Ultra series?
The Ultra 2 brings some brilliant new tech to the helm. The standouts for us are the Multi-band GPS, which gives you incredible position accuracy (essential when you’re trying to stay on a very specific wreck or ledge), and the new Wireless Networking capability. You can now share sonar and waypoints wirelessly between two Ultra 2 or UHD2 units without running extra cables across your deck.
Will I be able to see the screen clearly in direct sunlight?
Absolutely. The 102sv features a bright, 10-inch IPS (In-Plane Switching) display. Unlike older screens, the IPS technology provides much wider viewing angles and crisp clarity, even when you're wearing polarised sunglasses or standing off to the side of the console.
Can I use LiveScope with this unit?
Yes, it is fully compatible. The ECHOMAP Ultra 2 102sv is "LiveScope ready." You simply need to add the LiveScope system (like the LVS34) to start seeing real-time, moving sonar images of fish and structure under your boat.
Does it come with UK charts pre-loaded?
The 102sv comes with a Worldwide Basemap as standard. However, to get the detail you really need for UK coastal or inland navigation, we highly recommend adding a Garmin Navionics+™ or Navionics Vision+™ microSD card. This will unlock high-resolution relief shading, 0.5m contours, and Auto Guidance+™ technology.
How do I control the unit—is it just a touchscreen?
It’s what Garmin calls "Keyed-Assist." You get the best of both worlds: a responsive touchscreen for panning charts and navigating menus, plus physical buttons on the side. This is a lifesaver when you’ve got wet hands or you’re bouncing along in a bit of a chop and need precise control.
Can I connect this to my engine or autopilot?
Yes, the unit is NMEA 2000® compatible. We can help you link it up to your engine to view real-time fuel data and RPMs, or connect it to your Fusion® audio system and autopilot. It also features two Garmin Marine Network ports if you’re looking to build a larger wired network.
How easy is it to remove the unit for security?
Very easy indeed. It comes with a quick-release bail mount. All the cables plug directly into the mount itself, so you can simply tilt the unit, click it out, and take it home with you at the end of the day without faffing about with wires.
Is it waterproof?
Yes, it is rated to IPX7 standards, meaning it’s built to withstand the typical British weather—it’ll handle rain, splashes, and even a brief accidental submersion without a problem.
