Whether you are a dinghy racer or a weekend cruiser, this combination unit offers the "best of both worlds." It pairs a robust road trailer with a detachable launching trolley (the Launcher Deluxe), allowing you to move your boat from the road to the water without ever needing to submerge your road wheels or bearings
Extreme EXT500 Combination Key Features

Extreme EXT500 Combination FAQs
What exactly is a "Combination" trailer?
It’s a two-in-one system. You get a fully road-legal trailer (the road base) and a separate launching trolley (the Launcher Deluxe) that nests securely inside it. This allows you to tow your boat to the slipway, slide the trolley out to launch into the water, and keep the road trailer—including its wheels, axles, and bearings—perfectly dry on the hardstanding.
What size boat will the EXT500 Combi fit?
This model is specifically designed for dinghies up to 14 feet (approx. 4.3m) in length. Because the frame is highly adjustable, it can be tailored to fit almost any hull shape within that size range, from racing dinghies to small hard boats.
What are the weight capacities I need to know?
-
- Gross Trailer Weight: 500kg
- Unladen Weight: 135kg
- Maximum Payload (Boat Weight): 365kg
Please note: This weight must include your boat, engine, and any gear stored on board while towing.
Does it come ready for the road?
Absolutely. When you buy from Morgan Marine, your EXT500 comes with everything you need to get home safely:
-
- A lighting board on extendable bars.
- A 48mm jockey wheel for easy moving by hand.
- A genuine Knott or AL-KO axle with waterproof sealed bearings for maximum reliability.
Will it fit my specific hull shape?
Yes, that’s the beauty of the Extreme range. Every component—from the bunks to the winch post—is adjustable using U-bolts. We can help you set it up here at Morgan Marine to ensure your boat is supported exactly where it needs to be.
Is it easy to load the trolley back onto the road trailer?
Very. The EXT500 features a rolling rear cross-member. This acts as a guide and a roller, making it much easier to pull the launcher back onto the road base, even when you’re working single-handedly.
What is the benefit of "British Built"?
Extreme trailers are manufactured right here in the UK. This means they are built with a heavy-duty, hot-dipped galvanised frame designed to survive our salt-water environment. It also means that should you ever need a spare part—a new mudguard, a roller, or a lighting bar—we can source them quickly for you.
Do I need a special license to tow this?
No. Because the gross weight is 500kg, this is an unbraked trailer. It can be towed by almost any standard car on a normal Category B (car) driving license.
What are the overall dimensions for storage?
If you’re measuring up your garage or driveway, the overall length is 3.83m and the width is 1.57m.
