The ePropulsion Spirit 2 is the latest evolution of one of the world’s most popular electric outboards. Delivering 2kW of clean, quiet power, this fourth-generation motor brings improved performance while keeping the compact, lightweight design that makes the Spirit range so popular for dinghies, tenders, and small day boats.
With an integrated 1539Wh lithium battery, the Spirit 2 provides smooth, dependable propulsion without fumes, fuel, or noise. At just around 20.6kg combined weight, it’s easy to handle, transport, and store - ideal for sailors, harbour users, and anyone looking for a simple alternative to petrol outboards.

ePropulsion Spirit 2 Plus Key Features
The Spirit 2 delivers 2kW of continuous electric propulsion, comparable to a small petrol outboard, while offering the instant torque and smooth throttle response electric motors are known for.
Need a little extra push? A 3kW Sport Mode provides short bursts of additional power when accelerating or manoeuvring.
An updated hydrodynamic motor design and optimised propeller reduce vibration and improve efficiency, resulting in a noticeably smoother ride.
Extended Range with 1539Wh Battery
The 1.5kWh lithium battery gives the Spirit 2 excellent runtime for typical tender trips, harbour manoeuvring, or exploring quiet waterways.
Because the battery is fully integrated and cable-free, installation takes seconds - simply click it into place and you’re ready to go.

Hydrogeneration While Under Sail
One of the standout features of the Spirit 2 is hydrogeneration.
When sailing between 3 and 16 knots, the spinning propeller can recharge the battery while underway - turning your outboard into a compact onboard generator.
At around 10 knots, the system can produce approximately 380W, increasing to up to 1.5kW at 16 knots. For sailors, that means more energy available onboard without taking up extra space.
Lightweight, Portable and Easy to Handle
The Spirit 2 has been designed with portability in mind.
The motor weighs approximately 10.2–10.7kg, while the removable battery weighs 10.4kg, making it easy to lift on and off your boat.
A detachable clamp bracket allows quick fitting to the transom, while the foldable tiller doubles as a carrying handle, making transport simple.

* This performance data is based on an 11.5-foot aluminum boat weighing 65 kg, with one person and one Spirit battery in calm lake water. Actual speed, range, and running time may vary due to different boat types, loads, weather conditions, and other factors. Sport Mode can last up to 1 minute with a minimum battery state of charge (SOC) of 20%, and the temperature must be within safe limits.
** The runtime is measured from 100% to 5% SoC. Below 5% SoC, the power will be limited to a maximum of 50 W, enabling the Spirit 2 to continue operating at 50 W for for an extended period.
