Hempel Classic Antifouling Paint - 2.5L

Hempel Antifoul

Hempel Classic is a reliable, cost‑effective solution for keeping slow‑speed boats and yachts (up to around 20 knots) free from unwanted marine growth. Its eroding formula keeps hulls smooth, preventing weed, barnacles, and other fouling from sticking, while reducing build‑up over the season.

Applying it is straightforward: two coats usually cover one season of protection. You can use it over existing Hempel Classic, or prime bare GRP, steel, or wood with Hempel Underwater Primer before applying.

Available in four hull colours, it’s designed to work across multiple substrates for versatile protection.

Why Boaters Choose Hempel Classic

  • Affordable and dependable, perfect for boats cruising at ~20 knots.
  • Eroding formula that keeps hulls cleaner for longer and reduces fouling build‑up.
  • Easy to apply – ideal for DIY boat owners and professional boatyards alike. Two coats are usually enough for the season.
  • Works on GRP, steel, and wood when used with the right primer.
  • Apply directly over existing Hempel Classic.
  • High coverage – around 13 m² per litre (~32.5 m² per 2.5 L).
  • Quick touch-dry to recoat in roughly 30 minutes.
  • Four classic hull shades.
